Delta Police Department (“DPD”) policies are provided for public access, in accordance with Section 70 of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (“FOIPPA”).
The FOIPPA permits law enforcement agencies to redact policy sections in certain circumstances, including where disclosure could reasonably be expected to harm a law enforcement matter or the effectiveness of investigative techniques and procedures. Redacted sections are identified within the relevant policies.
Policies are revised by the DPD as required and in accordance with internally established review periods, and updated versions of policies will be published on this page intermittently.
Copyright & Limitation of Liability
These policies are the exclusive property of the DPD with all intellectual property rights belonging solely to the DPD. No person or entity is permitted to reproduce in whole or in part any DPD policies for business or commercial purposes. Further details about copyright protection over these and other public agency owned works can be obtained by reference to the federal Copyright Act.
Policies provided are current to the date of noted creation or last modification, and the DPD, the Delta Police Board and the City of Delta expressly disclaim all warranties and conditions, both expressed and implied, in fact and in law, pertaining to these policies. Under no circumstances will the DPD, the Delta Police Board or the City of Delta be liable to any person or business entity for any direct, indirect, special, incidental, consequential, or other damages based on any use of these policies.
