One in custody after altercation in North Delta

Delta Police were called to the 11800 block on 80th Avenue in North Delta shortly after 4 pm today, following an altercation.
One person was allegedly stabbed at this location.
“The victim and suspect are known to each other,” says Cris Leykauf, spokesperson for Delta Police.
“The suspect surrendered to police without incident, and is currently in police custody.”
The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries, while the suspect suffered minor injuries.
“This matter is not believed to be related to the current gang conflict. Instead it appears to be the result of a conflict between two individuals known to each other,” says Leykauf.
The investigation is ongoing.
